2025-2026 Wrestling Season Information

Beginner Wrestlers

Those with less that 3 years of experience. Typically those in Pre-K to 2nd grade.  However, it is not uncommon to have older grades in the class as well.  Please email our club if you have any questions.  monticelloyouthwrestling@gmail.com

Season Dates: Dec. 2, 2025 - Feb. 12, 2026

Practice Times:  Tues & Thurs 6:15 - 7:15 pm

Location: Monticello High School Wrestling Room

We will teach basic wrestling skills, balance, tumbling and conditioning.  Some wrestlers from this class may be moved up to the experienced class as thier skills progress.

Beginners Extra Practice: 

December 2025: 12/8, 12/15, 12/22

Time: 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Location: Monticello High School Wrestling Room 

Beginners Extra Practiceis designed for Beginner Wrestlers who want to improve their skills and advance to the next level. 

Experienced Wrestlers

wrestlers with 3 years or more of experience. Typically those in Grade 3 - 6th

Season Fates: Nov. 11, 2025 - March 12, 2026

Practice times: Tues & Thurs 6:00 to 7:30pm

Last Day of Practice: Thursday, March 12th

Location:  Monticello Middle School Wrestling Room

Our focus will be on improving already learned basic skills as well as live and situational wrestling drills.  

PLEASE NOTE:  the location has been changed to the Monticello Middle School for ALL Experienced wrestlers

Motivate Monday Dates:

January 2026: 1/5, 1/12, 1/26

February 2026: 2/2, 2/9, 2/23

March 2026: 3/2, 3/9

Time: 6:00 -7:30 pm

Location: Monticello Middle School Wrestling Room (in the basement)

Motivate Moday is offered to Experienced Wresters who want to build their skill level at a more rapid speed. These practices are more intense compared to regular practices.  If you think this is something that your child would be interested and capable, please reach out to Coach Luke or Coach Ryan.

Singlet rental $40.00

Family Volunteer Deposit: $200.00

Beginner Wresting Fees:

Wrestling Fee: Free (Huge Thank You to our Sponsors for covering this fee)

Singlet rental: $40.00

Family Volunteer Deposit: $200.00

**$40 singlet rental fee will be refunded when the singlet is returned at the end of the seaon.

** $200 Family Volunteer deposit will be refunded after volunteer shift is completed (Only one volunteer deposit per family).

Monticello Youth Wrestling Club is hosting a 2 day clinic to introduce wrestling to new wrestlers.  Wrestlers will learn basic moves and learn what wrestling is all about all while having a ton of fun.
